What’s Been Going On

These last couple of weeks have really been quite a blur.

Kinda like this photo of President Barack Obama I took while he spoke briefly during the African American Online Summit last Monday at the White House. While some tried to distort the event, it’s great to see the Administration taking an active approach when it comes to new media. And just an FYI for those caught up about the President’s comments about Meet the Press, a lot more than just blacks aren’t watching. I still can’t believe I met the President, though!

When I got to the office on Tuesday (because I have a day job in addition to my contributions at Concrete Loop), I had an email from my boss offering me a promotion. I can’t thank God enough for these continued blessings because next week I’m heading to New York, something I’ve wanted to do for so long. It’s funny because I almost moved there last year without even visiting. Now I’m finally going and will be back again next month.

I’ve also been hitting the gym daily and have lost over 25 pounds. I still have a ways to go to reach my ideal weight, but that is definitely motivation to continue. I’ll be sure to keep you updated on my success.
